In the 1950s four Italian brothers set out on a journey; a journey that would take them away from their homeland to a new home, Australia.
These four brothers arrived on Australian soil with next to nothing in their pocket, but running through their veins was pure determination and ambition.
The brothers, Narciso, Carlo, Stefano and Florindo, opened the now famous Romany Restaurant in 1958. The Romany restaurant, although currently not owned by the brothers, is still going strong and is now a part of Northbridge folklore.
In 1964 the brothers introduced their own range of pasta to the public of Perth… Golden Ravioli was born.
The equipment used was imported from Italy, as were the recipes, ensuring that the people of Perth were able to enjoy a touch of Tuscany at will.
Since Golden Ravioli’s inception it has grown from strength to strength. Golden Ravioli pasta, pre cooked pasta and sauces can be bought from a number of outlets including IGA. The people of Perth can also buy direct with a retail outlet at Romany House, 256 Fitzgerald St, Perth.
Look through the site and discover the flavour of Golden Ravioli.
