“A PASTA RENAISSANCE”!

Golden Ravioli hosted “A Pasta Renaissance” at Lot Twenty, Northbridge on the evening of Wednesday 24 August.

At this industry/media event, authentic pasta lovers were brought together in this intimate venue to celebrate wonderful food, fine wine and epic aperitivos; a curated pasta photography exhibition by acclaimed food photographer Craig Kinder and Golden Ravioli’s Instagram competition finalists; the premiere of a new Golden Ravioli / Craig Kinder Food Photography promo video, starring actress/model Bryre Roots; and the announcement of our Instagram Competition Winner.

Golden Ravioli’s approx. 40x guests included trade customers, Instagram competition finalists, suppliers, local food bloggers, and the creative and design teams behind the works being presented on the night.

The refined and sophisticated menu was designed to appeal to guests’ eyes and palates. They enjoyed a colourful menu of La cucina Toscana comfort classics; a celebrated cuisine that showcases simple ingredients in flavoursome dishes. This included new spinach gnocchi, chicken filled tortellini and pumpkin filled ravioli creations inspired by flavours that are uniquely Golden Ravioli, prepared by Lot Twenty’s Head Chef Justin West.

The photography art exhibition and premiere video presentation were very much local productions, with Golden Ravioli’s retail store and Craig Kinder Food Photography’s studio both being based in North Perth, as well as Fitzgerald Photo Imaging, who produced the photo prints. The framing of the prints and curation of the exhibition was by Leo Flavel and his team of the progressive Studio 281 art gallery in Maylands.

In addition to being a venue which is intimate, has character, and a relaxed vibe, Lot Twenty in Northbridge was chosen for “A Pasta Renaissance” for nostalgic reasons; Romany Restaurant – previously owned by the founding Lenzarini brothers of Golden Ravioli – formed a very large part of the now cultural centre on William Street over 50 years ago, where Lot Twenty is now located.

“A Pasta Renaissance” not only represented the next chapter in the history of Golden Ravioli, but also served as a preview of more fun, inspiring, and engaging events for the broader local community in the future – through collaborations with Lot Twenty and other local, independent purveyors who have a reputation for quality, authenticity and passion in the gourmet food products they serve their valued customers…
