In the 1950s, four Italian brothers set out on a journey …

A journey that would take them away from their homeland to a new home, Australia. These four brothers arrived on Western Australian soil with next to nothing in their pocket, but running through their veins was pure determination and ambition.

The brothers, Carlo, Narciso, Florindo and Stefano Lenzarini, opened the now famous Romany Restaurant in 1958: a significant chapter in Northbridge’s folklore.  Although currently not owned by the brothers, it is still a local meeting place for their family and within the heart of the community.  In 1964 the brothers officially introduced their own range of pasta to the public of Perth … Golden Ravioli was born.
